Submission Deadline Fast Approaching
The deadline is fast approaching for submissions to the Write to End Violence Against Women Awards. We are inviting submissions about gender based violence, and its root cause: gender inequality, which challenge a culture that accepts violence against women published between 01/09/13 and 01/09/14.
The deadline is 31 October 2014.
With categories for both professional and student journalists, as well as bloggers, we want to recognise the diverse landscape of Scottish media producing high quality, insightful writing that challenges a culture that supports violence and confronts violence and gender inequality. Please check our How to Enter page for more information on how to nominate a piece of writing.
The awards ceremony will be held at the Scottish Parliament on 10 December 2014 during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence, an international campaign that hopes to raise awareness about gender-based violence as a human rights issue at the local, national, regional and international level.
